Volunteer at Imagination Station
Help improve your community better by being a part of developing the next generation. You'll make new friends and if you're not careful you'll probably learn a lot as well.

Science Educators:
Educators interact with visitors by explaining exhibits, presenting science demonstrations, and answering any questions about Imagination Station. Also includes supervising hands on activities in our discovery room. Ideally, volunteer educators must be able to commit to a regular schedule (i.e. every other Friday, the first Monday of the month, every Thursday morning, etc.). Training will be provided.
Animal Care Assistants:
Assist in feeding and habitat maintenance of live animals. Tasks such as food preparation, habitat cleaning, and record-keeping are included. Regular schedule is required (i.e. every Friday, every other Tuesday, etc.)
Exhibit Volunteers:
Assist with set-up and tear down of traveling exhibits. Maintain, repair, and build exhibits. Requires ability to use basic tools like hammers, screwdriver, drills, etc. More advanced knowledge of construction and electronics would also be a valuable asset, but is not required.
Office Assistants:
Assist with preparing newsletters, labeling, making follow up phone calls, distributing flyers to schools, filing, and other similar tasks.
Graphic Design:
Assist with marketing and exhibit graphic design. Will assist with the design of newspaper advertising, e-mail advertising, community flyers, posters, and wesite graphics. Also will have opportunities to assist with design and redesign of exhibit signs and panels.
Event Volunteer:
Assist with planning and staffing various musuem events including fundraisers, special days for the public, etc.
